Moort - Eucalyptus platypus
Moort - Eucalyptus platypus
A$250.00
Moort, Eucalyptus platypus - Here is another familiar plant that is considered a pest on the Eyre Peninsula. It does however hail from WA. Aboriginal Australians planted and cultivated land. Early explorer diaries refer to the English Park like layout in Australia and planted fields - written about in Bruce Pascoe’s (whom I have painted) ‘Dark Emu’ and Prof Bill Gammage’s ‘The Biggest Estate on Earth: How Aborigines made Australia.’ So the native flora we know may not be native to where we know it from. On exhibition for SALA at the Rustic Gourmet August 1-31
